The PapersHelm.com website opens to a strikingly different homepage which is bright, colourful and well laid out.

This is a relatively new service, and it is trying to make a big impact - amongst its innovations is getting students to post PapersHelm.com testimonials on video - in exchange for a discount on their next order. This would be impressive, were it an objective overview of the company, but, by paying students for these, it does rather tarnish the objectivity of the reviews.

Factor 1: PapersHelm.com Services

Papers Helm services encompass editing and proofreading, custom writing, term papers, research papers, dissertation writing and essay writing - there is no mention of theses or of doctorate level work.

There are also no subject areas so we can only assume that this is dealt with at the ordering stage of the process. It would seem to be a case of putting in your request and then hoping that they have someone who can meet your request rather than know, in advance, that the subject can be covered. Should you try to get work done, which cannot then be written, for whatever reason, it could become problematic for you trying to find an alternative in time for your deadline.

PapersHelm.com rating sites are also quite critical of the lack of definitive subject areas.

Factor 2: Quality of Services

Papers helm claim to have over 300 writers at their disposal. These writers are led by a team of ten “leads” for whom there is a special section which gives a small biography and lists their particular areas of expertise.

There is an interesting little quote at the bottom of this page where it states, “Furthermore, we have skilled Editors and Proofreaders who know fairly well how to identify and remove grammatical and linguistic errors.”

Fairly well! At the prices charged by this company, we would want them to be experts … and do it very well indeed …

We found customer services to be tardy and less than helpful. They are available 24/7 via chat line, telephone, email, and Skype.

Papers Helm customer reviews do not tend to rate the quality of the services offered very highly.

Factor 3: Pricing, Payments and Discounts

PapersHelm.com prices border on the outrageous.

For a 10 page, bachelor level essay, on a 15-day deadline they want $275 before any discounts. This is, by far, one of the highest prices that we have come across for such services.

Papers Helm discounts start with a 50% discount - this takes our example back to $137.50 - which is a more average level of pricing for such services. There is, of course, no guarantee that this discount will be kept and, if it is discontinued, the pricing will revert to the previous level of expense.

PapersHelm.com coupon codes are not available.

PapersHelm promo code offers are not available either.

Payment can be made by all major credit cards as well as PayPal.

Papers Helm review summaries that we have read have questioned the value of the Papers Helm proposition, given the prices they want to charge.

Papers helm offer a free title page, outline, formatting, and unlimited revisions with each order.

There are free styling and citation eGuides, along with compliance and grammatical accuracy reports - all rather odd - as the whole idea is that someone else is doing the writing for you.

Summary

PapersHelm pros & cons: it all looks great “on paper.” In reality, the writers who are being assigned your essay are still anonymous, and their qualifications are not verified to you - all is taken at face value.

The quality of the writing is the only thing that matters after all. This is what you will be handing in. This is what you will be graded on. This might decide your future.

Whilst Papers Helm is not fraud or scam - we do believe that you need to ask lots of questions of the writer that you are given, to make absolutely sure that they can, and will, deliver the paper that you need.
